NO CHRISTMAS HELP

I sure understand,,,,I needed help long before Christmas Time started to roll around.I'm not too proud to ask for help but, since I lost my job ...I felt that help others and God will help you.So I spend my down time when not looking for work at the local food bank and shelter helping others.I have the usual problems a lot have with making my bills and health as well as depression.My problems are not as bad as others but I have to everyday pray for the strenghtn to keep busy finding a way to stay off the street and the poor house.I didn't think I'd find time to write this but the head of the food bank made me take a day off and gave me Aidpage URL address.I hope someone can find hope and help from what I do and say everyday whether or not anyone helps me..I know I've done all I could for them.I guess I'm asking for whatever you'd like to help me with.I know God will bless thoses who bless others so thats why I'm not pressing anyone for help...their been Times I had seems nothing at all and God made a way for me,So pray and believe I know he'll make a way for you too!

I am glad you teeth are almost fixed as it has been a long haul for you. I will be so happy when this is done. And then you may get a chance to spend a weekend with all of your kids and grandkids. I hope you get your van fixed so you can be with your kids. I think of you often and look for your avatar waiting to see you pop in here again.

I am glad the dental is almost over with and everything here is okay.
My mom passed from lung cancer 14 years ago. I guess we haven't talked for a few months and Sunny, my cat I thought I told you , I put him to sleep 9/22 due to kidney failure as he couldn't stay stable long after the first two months.
See what gives today and hope to see you around soon

I thought I let you know that I am 2-3 steps away from getting my dental finished. And, I may get to spend a week-end with all my kids, grandkids. Providing I get the small loans to pay for my van out. Once again, my daughter and I had just turned into the car port when I heard the POP. I knew it sounded just like the ball barons &/or tie-rod broke at that moment as it did a year and a half ago. $1150. We are blessed again with not being involved in a serious accident at a result. God has been generous. I will spend the next few days trying to barrow small loans to get it together.
So many people I know are really cutting back on presents for christmas this year. They are actually putting more thought in them. No one is going overboard. We are giving something we have that we know someone else has wanted real bad. At the same time, I am going to get rid of my storage. I will make a few things. Bake....most difinantly. It feels like a really Great Year. Thank you Elaine for being such a Wonderful person . How is your Mom ? Does she get nauseous? I think about the two of you all the time, smile & wish XO's for you. I am already making plans to go when I get gas money etc.
There was no keeping up with me when I was younger in the malls with mom in and out of stores fast. If didn't see colors I like why look. And when I use to drive I was all over the place. Motto was only live once. So if you want and can go somewhere even if not far do it as you aren't promised the next day.

I enjoyed the lights in the mall even when I was older but have not been to one in about 5 years really go browsing.
Yes it would be fun and they have little go carts at Walmart but I even take a wheelchair even though I probably would not need it.
Just love to go back to places I use to, to see the decorations.

I haven't been to a mall in ages.
It would be fun riding in a go cart. I haven't ridden in one in many decades.

You won't be participating in 'giving of the gifts' huh. I am disapointed. Everytime you help someone you have givin a gift, a gift of yourself. You can't give a more important gift. Your advice, knowledge, and friendship is so much more than any material object that pleases us for a short time and then is put away or pitched.You are a gift. Don't forget that.God made us all a gift and that is to be able to Love one another. To share with each other.

I know you have done a lot to help people out and I use to also when I had the funds. It can stress you out but I really miss just going to places I use to when younger as I love the decorations in the malls. I don't care if I have to ride a go cart I want to go to the mall and see the Christmas lights.
I know what Christmas is for and I had a close friend who was Jewish and she loved doing both Hannukah and Christmas.

I understand where you are coming from and I respect that. No one likes to get their hopes up during the holidays and not have them come true.

I so understand what you are saying. I get PM's about Christmas gifts,etc. I have replied to each one of them.
In the past, I have bought strangers gifts,dinners,many gifts for their kids,etc for Christmas,holidays,etc. And, it did 'stress me out'. But, I did it anyway.
However, I will no longer be 'stressed out' over
'gifts'. Especially, since:
(1) Christmas is not about all this gift giving; its about Yeshua(Christ).
(2)I celebrate Hannukah.

So, since I am not going to be participating in giving of the gifts; I thought I would just let people know ahead of time. That way, it will save them a step. They will not have to send a post, anticipating a positive reply. I don't want anyone to get their hopes up & feel let down.

I know you hate to post this.

I have gotten personal pm asking about gift cards and I wish I could get to win the lottery so I could fulfill wishes. I tell them I will give them resources under there blog. I tell them about wishuponahero.com for gift cards. Then there is freecycle.org where I know people have picked up nice gifts for their children for free, or go to the library rent movies for free.  Toysfortots is a good program and if you get in early enough Salavation Army Angel Tree where one can donate gifts so children who aren't going to have anything for Christmas can receive a toy.

Most people don't have the money to shop for gifts and they come to us for programs that offer gifts for the children and clothes banks for clothes for the children.

If you are lucky enough to Christmas shop for people and children the stores are filled with things to buy.

Oh well we do what we can to help.
